Brocade AoQ
Hi,
I've just taken over this older SAN environment , and whilst looking around I see some C7000 chassis connected to Brocade switches with AoQ at the end, after some research, and there isn't a lot of details on AoQ, it suggests that AoQ comes from the attached device if its QOS capable.
Just wondered if anyone has worked with this before, and is this configured just from the chassis, there are no QOS zones anywhere in this fabric.
Example below
Online FC F-Port 1 N Port + 8 NPIV public (AoQ)
Cheers Alan

Re: Brocade AoQ
Hello Alan,
I understand that you are looking for information on AoQ as seen in the following context:
Index Slot Port Address Media Speed State Proto
14 1 14 123b11 id N16 Online FC F-Port 1 N Port + 2 NPIV public (AoQ)
AoQ (Application-oriented QoS)
This typically indicates that an F_Port or N_Port has negotiated a link that is capable of quality of service (QoS). Both sides of the link have QoS capability and agreed on the protocol. The link could be between an HBA and an Access Gateway, between an Access Gateway and an edge switch, or between an HBA and an edge switch.
Thanks!
