Good afternoon,
I recently upgraded our Brocade G610 switches from v8.1.2a > -->v8.2.3b. Due to an issue with deprecated FA zones and alias's on our switches (which are currently preventing me from downloading and upgrading to the remaining revisions >v9.0.1d-->v9.1.0b available in the FOS path, so currently considering whether to remain on v8.2.3b but unclear as to whether this version is still supported by HP/Broadcom, and, if so, for how long ?
Whilst typing this i just stumbled across the Brocade SW matrices below. Given that the GOA date for v8.1.x was Mar' 22 so based on that and EOA for previous releases assuming that v8.2.3b should remain supported thru ≥ 2024 ?

SolutionHi Paolo_c,
HPE name of G610 is SN3600B. As per the HPE SPOCK 8.2.3b is active FOS version. FOS 8.2.3b was released in Jan 2022. Latest FOS in 8.x is 8.2.3c which was released in August 2022. FOS 8.2.3c supports Brocade G610. As per the release notes of 8.2.3c, any Brocade platform running FOS 8.1.0a or later can be non-disruptively upgraded to FOS 8.2.3c. There is no specific documentation on when FOS is going to be inactive. Ideally FOS is active for 15 to 18 months from release. Some exceptions are longer on the list than others. Always refer to HPE SPOCK stream documentation to find the active FOS versions for different switch models.
I am a HPE employee.
