HPE SAN Director

Hello Team,

 Cusotmer has 2 HPE brocade SAN Director Gen5 per site. with 2 xCP, 2 x CR blade & 6 x blade. Distance between the 2 sites is 45KM. 

the isl connectivity between the brocade director is done through WDM.

customer has purchase additional 2 Gen7 director per site, pls advise how can we add the newly purchase Gen7 to the exisiting isl.

I understand that you are looking for information on adding Gen 7 Directors to the existing Gen 5 Fabric.

You may use either ISL, or ICL connectivity.

Some general guidelines to be followed when scaling a fabric are explained at the following link:

Also ensure FOS compatibility between the different switches. This information is given in the FOS release notes. For example, refer page 37 for FOS compatibility with FOS v9.2.1:
