Re: HPE SN3000B - How to complete factory reset for selling ?
Hi @ASS49324
Run the command "switchdisbale" to disable the switch, if it is a virtual fabric aware chassis run "chassisdisable" command then,
Run " factoryreset " command and respond to th eprompts and confirm it by typing 'y' this will take the switch to factory defaults.
For a non-interactive reset, run" factoryreset -force" this command forcefully resets the switch.
If you want keep management interface IP settings during the reset, run the command factoryreset -keep IP
please click on the link factoryReset to view the detail description about the brocade switch factory default reset.
Hope this Helps !!

Re: HPE SN3000B - How to complete factory reset for selling ?
Hi @ASS49324
Please ensure,
1.switch is disabled
2.log in as a admin and check the firmware version supports the factory reset command.
3.compare fabric OS version agianst brocade documentation, only newer fabric OS version supports the factoryreset command
4.Run the command version to know the version details, if the version is not supportes consider upgrade the fabric OS version (9x and above) .
5.check whether you are in restricted shell.

Re: HPE SN3000B - How to complete factory reset for selling ?
@srujan_kumar,
Hi, as described in the first post, the Brocade Fibre Channel switches run an old FOS v8.0.1b that does not support the factoryreset command.
We cannot update the firmware because updates are behind a paywall, and we lack maintenance contracts for these devices since we haven’t used them for the past 2-3 years.
They will be sold, and we need to ensure the entire configuration is reset (names, passwords, settings, IPs).
I can successfully log into the shell as the "admin" user. Commands like switchdisable, ConfigDefault, and ClearCfg run, but these reset commands have no effect—after a reboot, all configuration remains intact.
