Port down/up occurs frequently on SN6700B
I am connecting with the following configuration:
Primera OS 4.5.11.14
SN6700B FOS 9.1.1
HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus:BIOS U46 v1.72 (VMware ESXi 7.0)
Nothing is detected on the DL360 side, but Port Offline/Online frequently occurs on the FCSW side as shown below.
11:40:52.511585 SCN Port Offline;rsn=0x2,g=0xe D2,P0 D2,P0 10 NA
11:40:52.511592 *Removing all nodes from port D2,P0 D2,P0 10 NA
11:40:55.884956 SCN LR_PORT(0);g=0xe D2,P0 D2,P0 10 NA
11:40:55.888815 SCN Port Online; g=0xe,isolated=0 D2,P0 D2,P1 10 NA
11:40:55.888915 Port Elp engaged D2,P1 D2,P0 10 NA
11:40:55.888926 *Removing all nodes from port D2,P0 D2,P0 10 NA
11:40:55.889077 SCN Port F_PORT D2,P1 D2,P0 10 NA
Since this does not occur on the same port, but across multiple server ports, I have checked to see if there are any bugs in the FCSW, but I was unable to find any.
Will the following issue occur with Primera?

If you have any information about this issue, please let me know.

Re: Port down/up occurs frequently on SN6700B
Hello haku1,
I understand that port flap is observed on the switch.
The mentioned advisory is applicable only to HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000, 9000, and 20000 Storage arrays running 3.x.x connected via 16G HBAs to any Brocade Switches running FOS firmware version 9.x.
From the event snip you have shared from the fabric log, link on port 10 appears to be flapping.
This could also be caused by a degrading hardware component.
Please check the SFP health from the output of "sfpshow 10"
Also check the end-to-end physical connectivity.
For further diagnosis, I request that a support case be raised for the switch. We may need the supportsave capture for analysing the issue.
Thanks!
