Hi team,
My client purchased this upgrade package for his SAN (Q1Z11BAE)... within this package comes several features, among them, Fabric Vision ! Has anyone used it, knows how to use it, how to install it, what it does, is it built into the SAN switch or does it have to be installed on an appliance??? I've already searched and I haven't found any documentation!
Regards,
Carlos Oliveira.

Re: SAN Fabric Vision
Hi Carlos,
Fabric Vision enables advanced Monitoring and Diagnostic Features on the Switch.
For example, you can use maps (for notification) and flow (for port flow) commands on the CLI.
CLI example: admin> flow --show sys_flow_monitor -sr?dev 010808 -dstdev 011a00 -lun '*' -srcid '52 de 5b 4f a9 9f 98 12-65 4f e7 ca a5
Also, you will get more detailed information in the Switch local GUI.
GUI Example: The Port Health widget is displayed only if the Fabric Vision license is installed on the switch.
To use the full Feature Function with an GUI, you will need Brocade SANnav Software, which requires an additional license.

Re: SAN Fabric Vision
Hi Cali ,
Thank you very much for your clarification.
The client purchased a license which enables "Fabric Vision, Extended Fabric and ISL Trunking...
So according to your explanations, it would be enough to just install the license and the new features (Fabric Vision
Extended Fabric ISL Trunking) will be visible and available on the Switch local GUI dashboard? Is that correct?
Best Regards,
Carlos Oliveira.
