SN6500B No_Module Status change

Hi.

SN6500B is in use. (Ver 8.2.2.d)

If you disable and enable an idle port (No_Ligth), it changes to the No_Module state.

Changing the SFP module is the same symptom.

Not only one port has this symptom, but several ports have this symptom.

Is it a hardware issue?

Re: SN6500B No_Module Status change

Hello necro82,

Theoretically, the port states mean:
No_Module - No module (GBIC or other) present.
No_Light - Module is not receiving light (valid for 8, 10, 16, and 32 Gb/s FC ports only).

Ideally, disabling / enabling the port will not change this port status.portDisableEnable.jpg

We'll need switch logs for a health check.
Kindly raise an HPE support ticket for further analysis on this switch.

Regards,
