Synergy 32Gb Brocade Switches switchType?
Hi,
We have 4 x 32Gb Synergy fram integrated Brocade SAN switches, which report as a "switchType 176.51". Does anyone know the Brocade equivalent model number for a 176.51 switch type? I've scoured the Brocade FOS docs and can't find a 176, let alone a 176.51! I'm just wanting to record it in my documentation like I have with previous Synergy Brocade switches, which I'd matched as either Brocade 6558 or Brocade G648. Is a 176.51 another G648?
Cheers,
Andy

Re: Synergy 32Gb Brocade Switches switchType?
Good day.
As per my findings the "switchType 176.51" designation you're seeing on your Synergy frame-integrated Brocade SAN switches might be a representation used by HPE for a specific configuration of the Brocade switch, but it doesn't directly map to a model number in Brocade's documentation or the FOS reference guides.
Given your reference to previous switches being matched with the Brocade 6558 or Brocade G648, it's likely that the "176.51" type corresponds to a Brocade G648 model, especially since these switches are commonly used in HPE Synergy environments.
I also welcome if any others has any answer here.
