What are the steps to add new SAN switch to existing fabrics with ISL connection?
I was wondering what are the steps to add new SAN switch to exising fabrics using ISL? The switches are managed by SAN Network Advisor. Is there anything that need to be done there?
Will this be disrutive to existing production traffic on existing fabrics?
Equipements are all HPE/Brocade switches. Thank you!

Re: What are the steps to add new SAN switch to existing fabrics with ISL connection?
Hi
with Brocade it is very easy make sure the new switch is new no Zoning configuration
change the domain ID to one that is not in the existing in the fabric and connect the ISL between the switches
zoning is now on the new switch this is non distruptive.
Regards
Give a KUDO if this helps

Thanksf for the quick reply, @giladzzz
When connecting the ISL between the switches, do I need to change the ports both side manually to E_port or does it automatically becomes an E_port when connected together?

Hi
No connect with Putty to both switches issue "switchshow" before you connect
and after and you will see if it works or you get an error.
