Composer 2 Update fails 6.60 to 7.0
We recently got a new synergy frame to test things on and I have been trying to set it up. I noticed that the composers came with firmware 5.5 installed on them which I find annoying as that is almost 5 year old firmware. I found the update path and have been going through the steps but got stuck going to 7.0. When I try to run that update I get the error: The appliance update failed because it contains Gen10 server hardware with an iLO5 version which is less than the minimum supported firmware version. The issue is we do not have any gen 10 hardware in this enclosure only gen 11 hardware. My hunch is it is seeing the gen 11 hardware running ilo version 1.56 and since it does not know what a gen 11 is it assumes those are just really outdated gen 10s. Has anyone else seen this issue? Also is there a way to force the update if this is a false detection?

Re: Composer 2 Update fails 6.60 to 7.0
You do not have to upgrade composers that are new; there is supposed to be a QR code on the box that points to a document that essentially says "reimage me to your required version" because you can just reimage to the target version with no updates on a new composer.
Yes, old OneView versions do not know what Gen11 is, remove them until the infrastructure is at least Synergy SSP 2023.03.01 and OneView 8.x as documented.

Re: Composer 2 Update fails 6.60 to 7.0
This worked for me. Updating to 8.0.0 is now, thankfully, finally possible.
