Number of uplinks for Storage NIC

HI

I have Dell powerstorage system Dell Powerstore 1200 and we will use HPE synergy 1200 Frame

Design for connections is like this

Host will have 2 network cards one will go to Blue VLAN and one will go to Red VLAN for redundancy

My question would be for network card that will connedt to storage how many uplinks we should put one or 2 (they will be aggregated)

Would one uplink per NIC (on both interconnects) would be sufficient or it would be advisable to put 2 child ports (25 GBps) should be used

Re: Number of uplinks for Storage NIC

When I say port i actuall mean child ports like Q1:1 Q1:2 etc not planning to take whole port Q1 or Q2 since we have storage that communicates at 25 GBps

Hi @cer113 , thanks for reaching out.

For the query raised, we can proceed to create a network set with both the VLANs and map the same to the uplink port.

I work for HPE.
