Server SYNERGY 480 - XenServer - Profil Server
My colleague has done tests of reinstallation of the xenserver 8.2 version on a certain number of SYNERGY servers to prepare a migration. During his tests, he noticed that the installation ISO was not successful.
It was launching and then suddenly it was stuck and he could not even get to the product installation interface.
He tried to install different versions of xenServer --> same results
he tried to install different versions of Windows Server --> same results
I tried installing a vmware hypervisor: it worked.
I took a server that had no profile and that we had never used as a hypervisor and there the installation of xenServer 8.2 was successful.
So I took the first XenServer hypervisors:
1 - I removed the profile from the server --> the xenserver 8.2 installation failed
2 - So I reset the BIOS settings and without reapplying the profile the installation started.
3 - after reapplying the "Virtualization - Max Performance" profile: the installation does not start
Everything seems to indicate that something is blocking the profiles we use on our XenServer servers. Do you have any clues as to what could be blocking us?

It would seem the issue is not specifically related to XenServer, correct?
You should open a support case against one of the failing supported OS versions; the issue could be that the BIOS settings are not being applied as required. In order to make any further recommendation would require knowing what Gen server and precisely which model (CPU/mem/etc) server, what version of BIOS and iLO, which SSP firmware bundle, what version of HPE OneView, etc. Maybe you've hit a known issue. There are some Gen11/iLO6/BIOS combinations that had flash issues that were fixed about a month ago.

Hello, Sorry for my late response but I was away for vacation.
The only installation that worked was done on a server after resetting the "Bios" and without a profile.
I will therefore open a ticket to HPE support as you advised me and I will note in this post the response indicated by support.
Then I will close the post.
