Synergy Design | Composer Planning
Dear All,
I have a question regarding Synergy Design. In the scenario where I am planning 2 Master Frames and 1 Satellite Frame for redundancy to avoid a single point of failure, could you please guide me on how to plan the Composer?
Specifically, should I allocate a 1 Composes in each frame (Total 3) including satelite frame, or is it recommended to have one Composer in each of the 2 Master Frames?
Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Synergy Design | Composer Planning
Each Synergy management domain, defined by the physical LINK port "ring" on the FLMs, can have only two Composers in an HA cluster. They two form an "active/standby" cluster automatically when they detect each other in the same ring. Any additional Composers can be used as warm 3rd standby provided they have been reimaged to exactly the same version as the two operational ones.
The Composer locations have no relationship to the fabric topology. Best practice is simply not to have them in the same frame.
Although it doesn't specifically answer your question, it is best to be familar with "HPE Synergy Configuration and Compatibility Guide"
