Morpheus Agent and QEMU Agent
I'm installing Morpheus Agent and QEMU Agent on my virtual machine. I think the roles of these two are not overlapping, so I think it's best practice to install both, but am I correct?
*I apologize if this is machine translated and not easy to understand.

Re: Morpheus Agent and QEMU Agent
These two agents don't overlap and you can install both without any issues.
The QEMU Guest agent is highly recommended as it provides internal communications between the host and the guest OS and it's needed for having deeper visibility into the OS.
The Morpheus agent is not really needed because its main functionality is around deeper automation not included in VM Essentials.

Re: Morpheus Agent and QEMU Agent
Thank you.
I'm curious about the following part of the VME documentation.
I think it's an explanation about the Morpheus agent.
If I don't install it, will this have any impact?

Install Agent
On by default, uncheck to skip Agent install. Note this will result in the loss of utilization statistics, logs, Task execution, and monitoring (Some utilization stats are still collected by Agent-less workloads).

Re: Morpheus Agent and QEMU Agent
Hello,
The agent that is referred in the documenation is the Morpheus agent and it does not have any impact. The morpheus agent is simialr to the the (VMtools in VMware environment) it provides more accurate, timely information on VM resource utilization, relevent logs, direct task execution, etc. You can install these agents at any point of time (as in when needed) using any of the methods described in the document.

Re: Morpheus Agent and QEMU Agent
I don't think morpheus agent is required.
However, I wanted to ask because I was wondering if it would be more convenient to have it installed.
If I don't install it, will it have no effect at all on VME?
For example, if I'm running a task, I might not be able to do so. Also, I'm concerned about the statement that "monitoring will be lost."
Even in the case of VME, if there are any benefits to having it installed, I'd like to install it.

Re: Morpheus Agent and QEMU Agent
Hello,
It is always good to install the agent in all the VM instances as it provides some monitoring features which would be helpful.
However, not installing agent does not impact any tasks that is being run on VM's or any of the VM's functionality and you can always install the agent as in when needed (Infrastructure > Compute > Virtual Machines > Select any VM > Actions > Install Agent)
Hope the above information helps!!
