Hello,
Trying to install VME on an e920 connected to my basic ASUS router. I only have one NIC so I bridged it hoping VME would be able to utilize it. Totally understand this is far from optimal.
At 75% I get unable to start vm vmem-01
Here are some outputs:
root@vme1:~# virsh net-list --all
Name State Autostart Persistent
-------------------------------------------------
Compute inactive yes yes
default inactive yes yes
Management inactive yes yes
root@vme1:~# virsh list --all
Id Name State
--------------------------
- vmem-01 shut off
root@vme1:~# virsh start vmem-01
error: Failed to start domain 'vmem-01'
error: Requested operation is not valid: network 'Management' is not active

I don't really have a linux or networking background, so anything helps, thank you!
Edit:
I started Management manually with net-start, but now trying to start the VM I get
error: Failed to start domain 'vmem-01'
error: Cannot get interface MTU on 'mgmt': No such device

Re: VME Install Fails - Unable to start vm
Here is a set of information requests that we might need additionally:
1. Which version of the VME is been used for the install.
2. Which entries are been handovered in the:

SolutionHello
Regardig "Note: I'm not able to edit the Management Interface portion, which i've seen some do in videos - I can tab/key through it just not make changes"
In 8.0.4 , its a new feature that " HPE VM installer now prompts for interface names (ex. compute or management interface) using a dropdown menu to prevent failures due to simple typos" . You can use down arrow to select the NIC.
Lookign at the netplan , I see you are uisng bridge " br0", which is not needed.
Instead you can use the NIC associated with it. (eno2np0) and apply the netplan again. Also instead of DHCP, it is recommeded to use "Static IP address".

Re: VME Install Fails - Unable to start vm
Did a full reinstall including Ubuntu with a static IP, and we're all good now!

Re: VME Install Fails - Unable to start vm
Correct, management is a bridge so if your network device is already assigned to br0 it would fail to assign to another bridge.
