H3C 5100 SNMP TRAP
Hi @all,
I want to configgure the swicht to send a trap while the folowing wrning accure:
"%Apr 2 01:25:09:347 2000 H3C DRV/5/WARNING:- 1 -The link partner of GigabitEthernet1/0/40 may be bad,sending lots of error packets !"
Right now, the switch is configgured to sent all traps to an traprereiver. This is work already, for example the linkup-/down messages have been send. But the switch did not send these warnings. I'm not interested in messages for linkup-/down, for me the WARNINGS are much mor interesting.
Thanks for help

Re: H3C 5100 SNMP TRAP
The link partner of GigabitEthernet1/0/40 may be bad? you can try paessler snmp tester, with this, you can run simple SNMP requests against a device in your switch.

Re: H3C 5100 SNMP TRAP
Thanks for the answear. I have solved the problem, by using the syslog funktions of the switches.
