IMC backup failing
Hello There,
We recently seeing some issues with IMC where the backups are failing and we see alerts that the backup's are "Part Succeeded".
The IMC software has been recently upgraded to version below:
iMC PLAT 7.3 (E0705P07)
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pavan

Re: IMC backup failing
Hi Pavan,
Please let us know if you're talking about iMC monitored device configuration backup or iMC database backup. If its device backup, then we have to check the cfgbck folder and also auto-backup setting as sometimes i have seen where there will be default setting of limited device configuration backup file threshold limit which needs to be changed. If it's iMC database backup then we have to check if after the iMC upgrade dbman folder was copied to remote DB server(if using remote db) and also we can check dmalog under folder c:/program file/imc/dbman/.

Re: IMC backup failing
Hi,
Please share the screenshot of "Max backup configuration file" which will be found under Service Tab >> Configuration Center >> Option's. Below is the screenshot of same. If you see any value like 50 or any number, please change the value to "0" and then try backing up the configuration of the device and check if the issue still persist or not.

Re: IMC backup failing
Hi,
From the logs it looks like some issue with database which may have occurred after iMC upgrade. As if i'm not wrong the issue started after upgrade only right? I will request to open a case with HPE support or possible to rollback previous VM snapshot if taken before upgrade. Also please let me know if you faced any issues during iMC upgrade.

Re: IMC backup failing
Hello Nitish,
I believe we had issues before upgrading the iMC.
The reason it was upgraded was to check if the issue resolves after upgrading.
Any further help on this greatly apprecviated.
Thanks,
Pavan
