Hello..
i'm using IMC 7,2
i want to setup mail server IMC for send alarm notification to my mail account , if i try to use "test Mailbox" and always failed. "failed to connect mail server. please check your network connection and mail server configuration and try again". the network connection there's not a problem. ex :
server address : mail.mycompany.com
server port : 465 (for smtp port)
username : mycompany
pass : mycomp
sender's mail address : mail@mycompany.co.id
Is there an mail server setting that needs to be set ? .

SolutionThings to check:
* Are you using SSL? Probably yes, since you're using port 465? Do you have "Requires Security Connection" checked?
* Do you have "Requires Authentication" checked?
* From the IMC server, can you telnet to mail.mycompany.com on port 465?
* What do your email server logs say? (They will log things like failed authentication, etc)

For things to check :
* yes, i have checked "Requires Security Connection" on mail server settings.
* Yes i do, i checked "Requires Authentication" too.
* There's a telnet feature on HP IMC ? How to Telnet by using HP IMC ?

Use RDP to login to the server. Run telnet from there.

i was to check port server on IMC, evidently it's wrong port server destination.
