IMC - permission to write to flash (comware 7)
Hi,
I am looking to create a configuration template that will return the fw version of the switch.
If i do it manually it works, when i try to push it out as a config. template, the file is created in flash but there are no contents in the file.
here is the command i am running manually and via configuration template deployed as a task:
display version | i Release > FW_Version.txt
In testing with the configuration template i have used the $(SNMPv2-MIB|sysName|0) MIB to include the name of the switch. But in troubleshooting why it would not include content in the file i omitted it.
I hope to deploy this to all our switches and tftp to a tftp server.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Re: IMC - permission to write to flash (comware 7)
not really what i am looking for, the reports carry out a full report on all aspects of inventory, power supplies, cards, sfp's. I am looking to get a report on the 5510s chassis serial number. any help would be great.

Re: IMC - permission to write to flash (comware 7)
Hi,
Regarding the script file which you executed and said the file is created with no content.
I tried in my LAB and I could see that the file is created with the required output on flash and is working fine.
I tested with SSH enabled on switch, with File transfer Mode under Service > Options of IMC as TFTP.
If you still have issues, can you share the 'imcfaultdm <year-month-date>.txt' from ...\IMC\Server\conf\log folder.
