IMC PLAT_7.1 Installation Error

Hello,

We are trying to install HP iMC (PLAT_7.1_E0303_Enterprise_Windows) on a Windows Server 2012 R2 64 bit virtual machine with Intel Xeon CPU E5520 @ 2.27GHz 2.27GHz processor and 4 GB RAM, the checking installation environment pass "ok" however, in the deployment phase of the installation, I get the following error in the deploy log:

What may be the problem, do we need a physical machine with better specs? Even though the deployment fails at this  stage,  we get the server running  but can't access it through web interface and the jserver process cannot connect to the local MS SQL Server 2008 instance.

Hello,

First off you're being too skimpy on memory if you're also planning to run SQL on the VM. I'm running STD edition 7.1 on the same OS and SQL 2012 Std and it uses 8G easily for a 50 device implementation.

So is SQL setup for local and passthrough authentication with a known SA password? That bites many people since most implementations these days use windows auth.

I'm not familiar with slave server setups but did you tell it to setup or reference a slave server?

I'll bet there are some more detailed log files with more clues.
