IMC VLAN issues with Extreme Networks
We have recently acquired IMC for maoitoring and managing our multivendor network. We seem to be having issues with VLAN information not being read or transferred into IMC for any of our Extreme Networks switches. We have multiple Summit series and Black Diamond switches at various locations. I was wondering if there is a trick or a script that we need to modify?

Re: IMC VLAN issues with Extreme Networks
It sounds like IMC does not have the MIB for the Extreme switches. The MIB gives IMC the string to use for each SNMP query so that the switch knows what IMC is asking it.
You would need to get the MIBs from Extreme and upload them to IMC:

Re: IMC VLAN issues with Extreme Networks
Uploading MIBs won't help. MIBs on their own are like a phone book. They tell you what phone number someone has. But they don't tell you which person to call.
Generally the VLAN stuff is pretty standard (at least for reading information, writing is more complicated). Does the rest of the switch information show up OK?
