Hi, i have been asked to make IMC use https rather than http to login. Staff are concerned about the passwords being sent in clear text. Is there a way that IMC can be configured to make this happen?

Re: USe SSL to login to IMC
It generates a self-signed certificate by default. I prefer to change this to a valid certificate.

Re: USe SSL to login to IMC
Thanks for that information. Would you mind telling where i can change the port number and how to replace the certificate if the self-signed one is not acceptable.?

SolutionUse setwebport.bat/setwebport.sh to change the port. (IMC Command Reference and Getting Started Guide).
The Getting Started guide also explains how to install a custom certificate, and how to configure a redirect from HTTP to HTTPS.

Re: USe SSL to login to IMC
It's been a long time since I looked at it, but the GettingStarted Guide covers it.
You could also try https://www.flomain.de/2014/10/how-to-imc-webserver-certificate/ and http://www.nicklowe.org/2012/04/importing-a-digital-certificate-to-hps-intelligent-management-center-imc/
What steps are you getting stuck at?
Do you have a properly signed certificate generated and ready to install?
