Deleted Servers in SIM have entries under the entitlement page

Hi All,

We are on HP SIM 5.3. I observe a lot of junk servers under Options>Remote Support Configurations and Services> Entitlement

I already tried running "Syncronize RSE" but in vain

Is there a way to remove these entries????

Regards,
Jay

Re: Deleted Servers in SIM have entries under the entitlement page

Hi Jay

Under Options>Remote Support Configurations and Services> Entitlement you should see all the servers that are RSP eligible. You cannot remove them from there if you are monitoring them by SIM.
Tha fact that you have those servers under Options>Remote Support Configurations and Services> Entitlement will only open a case automatically in HP in case of incident. If you don't want that you can disable Transportation Enablement (TE).

Re: Deleted Servers in SIM have entries under the entitlement page

Hi Ada,

Thanks for the explanation.

I understand your concern here but how do i delete the servers which have been decommissioned. I have deleted those servers from HP SIM but i still see them in the entitlement tab.

Is there a way to see only the servers which show up under the "All Systems" collection.

Re: Deleted Servers in SIM have entries under the entitlement page

hi Jay,

Please try the steps below:

1. From a command window : cd C:\Program Files\HP\RemoteSupport\bin
2. Execute the command : iseectl -GetOOSXml -value oos.xml
2. Open oos.xml which is created (in C:\Program Files\HP\RemoteSupport\bin) . Find the device which is to be deleted, and then get its GUID.
3. run
iseectl -RemoveOOS -id [GUID] -ActionOwner manual

The device should be off the entitlement page.

Re: Deleted Servers in SIM have entries under the entitlement page

Hi Nishant,

Thanks for the info.

I tried the suggestion put forward by you. In the command prompt it even says "Successfully removed the OOS." but still shows up under server entitlement page.
Not sure if it works on SIM 5.3.

Jay
