Help needed to migrate Alpha OpenVMS servers from ISEE to Insite Remote Support
I have setup HPSIM 5.3 on Windows servers 2003. I have OVMS and Tru64 Unix servers in my environment and need to migrate from ISEE to Insite Remote support. Appreciate if anyone can help me with the configuration. Any agent to be installed on the OVMS/Tru64 side..
Regards
Shailender

Re: Help needed to migrate Alpha OpenVMS servers from ISEE to Insite Remote Support
Hi,
Remove the ISEE Clients, WEBES and WCCproxy on the OpenVMS and Tru64 systems. Install ELMC_WCCproxy, which are downloadable by RSSWM and also available on http://www.hp.com/services/webes. To send test events you'll find there also test scripts there.
To check the access to the error log files, add the devices into the "System Event Analyzer" of WEBES, then you can run a Full View.
In SIM these systems can be discovered as usual. At least its SN, PN,OS, System Country Code. The product description should already be displayed. Now in RSCS you can do an entitlement check. A corresponding SAID will also be returned, for example.
Regards, Werner
