I recently install SIM 6.2. After the install, I manually installed "rs_adv0550.100820.exe" so that I could collect warranty information about servers. However, as a side affect, HP SIM is now sending service alerts to HP and I keep getting calls and email on things such as "power supplied" failed. As much as this seems like a handy feature - it really isn't for our environment.
How do I stop SIM/RS from creating these "tickets" and sending them to HP yet still allow me to collect the warranty information I do want.
Thanks
Nelson

Solution
Go to options->remote support configuration menu inside HP-SIM and disable transport (TE row). You can individually disable the transport. The interface is a little tricky
you need to take care that you select the correct operation in the pull down menu on the entitlement page.
Hope this helps.
