HP RS v7.5 Services Not Starting After Upgrade from v7.4
Just run the upgrade to v7.5 on a configured and functioning installation of RS v7.4, and now neither services will start. No helpful Event Log messages explaining why (other than that the service terminated unexpectedly). In the hprsmain-stdout.log I get:
Commons Daemon procrun stdout initialized
Error occurred during initialization of VM
java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object
Poking around it seems that this is a not uncommon error with Java where the paths to the required version have been specified incorrectly.
Any takers?

Re: HP RS v7.5 Services Not Starting After Upgrade from v7.4
At this point, I suggest you place a support call to the HP support team to get this corrected.

I'm a little late in noticing / replying to your issue, but have a peek at my blog post that describes roughly your issue:
