HP SIM with Insight remote support advanced
Hi all,
I have some doubts that I hope someone could clarify me.
In this moment my 24*7 support contract with HP finished, but I still have installed and working HP SIM with Insight remote support advanced.
What I would like to know is without a valid HP Contract can I still use HP SIM with IRSA to manage my servers?
Can I use HP SIM and uninstall IRSA since I dont have a valid contract (SIM stills works after uninstalling IRSA)?
Can I use both but disable some features to avoid contact between my management station and HP Support (for example disable systems for remote support inside HP SIM), or should I disable more things?
Or I can't use any of these products since I dont have valid support contract?
In this moment for me make sense I couldn't use IRSA because I don't have a valid contract but I hope I could use HP SIM.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Rui Cadete

Re: HP SIM with Insight remote support advanced
Hi Rui
SIM you can still use, regardless of the contract situation.
You could set 'Transport disabled' in the Remote Support Configuration and Services -> Entitlement. This should stop events being sent to HP, I think...
