IRS Update Failing - Exception Error

Hi, my customer is trying to manually update IRS from 7.14.0.0597 but gets an exception error. I think this is the relevant extract from the log:

Exception occurred while installing Patch7140Pkg(7.14.0.629)
javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Connection reset

Can anyone assist with troubleshooting? I don't see how to upload the entire log file on here.
