PSP WBEM Providers on CV Server

Hi,

short question:

I'm not sure if I have to install the WBEM Providers for Windows from the HP Proliant Support Pack on a Command View Server for HP notfication etc...?

Which functionality serve the WBEM Providers from the PSP if the answer, YES?

Hi aeronet,

It is my understanding that the WBEM functionality on a Command View EVA Server is provided by the SMI-S included with CV EVA - this is for the EVA itself.

Event notification is done by Error Log Monitor and Collector (ELMC) which will monitor the Application Event log on the CV EVA server to detect any notifyable events.

You should be able to push ELMC from IRS assuming you have installed the ELMC Windows depot package which is optional in the RSSWM downloads.
