some question about ISEE, WEBES, Tru64
Hello,
Our customer has this problem:
He was doing backup on dat drive; during this backup dat drive reported some hard errors and died. Backup was not finished correctly.
No ISEE incident was reported. And customer's question is: Why no incident was reported?
Does anybody have some idea?
Configuration: Alpha systems, internal dat drive, unix tru64 5.1a, webes 432 isee 3.50.
If you need some files, details, ask me, I will send them.
Regards
Bohdan Rychlik

Re: some question about ISEE, WEBES, Tru64
Hi Bohdan,
I have had similar experiences with WEBES not picking up errors and reporting them. I would escalate the call to the WEBES engineering folks to find out why WEBES did not report the errors.

Re: some question about ISEE, WEBES, Tru64
Hello,
Did u link the webes with isee while installation with the command desta isee on ??
Is there any events in the console of the ISEE client ?
Are you able to see any event logs in Webes log??
If the events are showing in the ISEE console,(localhost:5060) there can be a communication problem.
