CPU replacement in RX5670 server!
Hi Guyz! I have done a swapping of CPUs in Itanium RX5670.I replaced the 1GHz CPUs with the 1.3Ghz CPUs.The server has HP-UX 11.22,I performed all the required steps, including the installation of the patch PHKL_29425.The problem am having now is that the system can not define the CPU model. If I do the machinfo, the CPU model is unavailable. What could be the problem??

Hi,
What firmware revision are you on?? You need to be on system firmware rev 03.21 minimum. You can check it on by logging it to the MP and entering the CM mode. Then execute the sysrev command.

Re: CPU replacement in RX5670 server!
Hello,
I can see that you are on revision 03.11 and not 03.21. Please upgrade firmware to the suggested one.
HTH,
Vince
