Error while installaling OS on rx2660 integrity server

Hello,

Can anyone pls let me know how to resolve this error coming while the installation of the fresh OS on my rx26660 integrity server?
Error coming:-

1783-drive array controller failure code=0081

i have reconnected all SAS drives once again but no luck.
Do we need to install the drive for this smart controller?

Could u pls help me out from this situation?

You need the HP-UX 11i v2 media with the minimum release date of June 2007.

No 11i v1, you can have 11i v2 or v3 on rx2660

I have OS HP-UX 11v2 dec 2006 release. Is it possible to install it any how and once it has been installed then we can install the patches for the issue we are facing.
Is that possible?

No. There may be no patches for the issue and any fixes delivered with the June 2007 update.

So its clearly means that we can't install OS on integrity server rx2660 with the OS CD(HP-UX v2i December 2006 release)??

We need HP -UX v2i with release of june 2007 or later??

Which type of SAS controller is installed in your rx2660? Core SAS controller or P400?

It is having AD248A HP internal RAID1 controller.
How do i check its Core SAS controller or P400?

I believe it is having SAS drives

If it is AD248A#106, you have HP internal RAID1 controller.

If it is AD248A#130, you have HP Smart Array P400.

I have tried the installation with HP-UX 11i ver3 but still i am getting the same error.

HP Smart Array P4000 failure.
Does it seems to be some hardware issue?

I am installing it on HP-UX integrity server rx2660.

burn the CD, boot the server from this CD, and upgrade SAS firmware to version 1.23.42.00.

What is the release date of your HP-UX 11i v3 media?

After burn the CD then how to upgrade SAS firmware to version 1.23.42.00. with the cd.
Can u pls let me know the steps for that?
I will try those also.
I have already raised one hardware ticket for the same as i thought for hardware issue.

Load CD, boot the server to EFI Shell, you will see the fs0: prompt, and issue the command

cd \efi\hp\tools\io_cards\sas

If you can't change to this directory, change to different device by issuing the command

fs1:

If you can't find directory again, change to the next device.

After successfully changing directory, issue the command

sasflash -listall

and send me the output.

I have downloaded the daigonistic tool as suggested by u from the site.Its name as IPF1012.Its in rar format.
Can u pls tell me the full steps for firmware upgradation like after sasflash -listall , what next command i need to fire.

Actually server is at different location and its far away from here. So its not possible to go there again & again.Thats why i am asking you complete steps and there is no internet connection as the server is in Data center.

In rar format?

Normally it is always a zipped ISO file.


Burn it to a CD or copy it to a USB thumb drive or use vMedia with the ISO, boot from this media and follow the steps written in the README.


Should be in

\EFI\HP\TOOLS\IO_CARDS\SmartArray

Yes it is in WinRAR archive (.iso) format. I am writing it in a CD and will boot the server with this cd. Pls let me know the commands for the same.
