How to install Windows with LSIU320 drv an no floppy?

Attempting to install XP-64 and 2003-64 on a rx2600 with the LSI1030 U320 SCSI controller.
Windows setup can't see the disk to start installation on.
Tried attaching a USB floppy drive, but setup won't access it. Just keeps on asking for drive A:
Any suggestions?

Does Windows installation require the SmartSetup DVD?
Our servers were preinstalled with Linux, and that DVD was not included.
