HP rx4640 and StorageWorks

Hello!, i've a rx4640 server and a storage works with 14 bay conected by four vhdc conectors . when the post is diplayed it recognize the 14 fisical drives, but when i try to create a raid (raid 5) in the orca menu, no display my drives. any idea?

Hi,

I understand from the description, it would be a Disk system 2300 (Stotageworks/surestore) SCSI connected disksystem.

It could be connected with SMART Array card(in rx4640).

1. Please power of both disk system and server.
2. Power on the Disk system
3. Wait for some time for disk system intialization , then  Power on the server.
4. SA controller will report the POST results.
5. Once you quit the POST prompt, the SA controller firmware prompts for ORCA (Option ROM Configuration for Arrays Utility).  Press <F8> to run the Option ROM Configuration for Arrays Utility or Press <ESC> to skip configuration and continue.
6.  Continue with ORCA
