Please support us saupdate command.

Purpose:
I want to change the internal Smart Array P400  from HBA mode to RAID mode.

**saupdate will recognize the P400.

SAUPDATE supports changing of controller mode only for P410i and P411 controllers.The controller at 0:5:0:0 is not a P410i or a P411, hence its mode cannot be changed

Does the saupdate command not work on the P400?

How do I change the P400 from HBA to RAID mode?

Hi,
It is quite a while since I worked on rx2660, but I don't think saudate is the correct tool for this.

Power up the server and during the initalisation process, look for a line that says something like "Initialising controller press F8"

Then, quickly enter ESC 8 (note Escape Key then and it should take you into the ORCA menu to configure the P400 RAID device.
If that does not work, then try ESC F8.
