PXE boot image Linux Itanium
I have a network environment in place for booting diskless workstations using PXE, DHCP and TFTP.
/etc/dhcp.conf file is configured to make for specified IP address assignments for specific MAC addresses, therefore only for known and trusted workstations.
However, I do not know how to create the boot image for the initial PXE load from the server to the requesting workstations, or if their maybe a generic PXE boot image for the Linux Itanium platform which can be downloaded from somewhere...?
Does anyone have any information about this?
with kind regards,
Peter

Re: PXE boot image Linux Itanium
I have managed to find the answer.
The 32-bit pxelinux solution is not useable or at least not currently portable.
There is an HP Open Source solution named ELILO (which is not necessarily the best choice of name, since the implementation of a bootloader for systems using EFI-based firmware which is a replacement for the 32-bit platform LILO, is also called ELILO)
ELILO EFI linux boot loader is available at:
http://elilo.sourceforge.net
