R3000 UPS not responding after power back
Dear Members,
Assalamo Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah,
I have R3000 UPS with Serial port.
Installed HP Power Manager 4.0 (Build 10) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 5)Kernel 2.4.21-15.ELsmp on an i686 running on DL380 Server.
On the power fail server was gracefully shutdown. When power was back system started normally. But Power Menager responded "UPS not connected".
What is this problem, and how to fix it up?
Was'Salaam

Re: R3000 UPS not responding after power back
I have the same problem on W2k3. I opened HP Case and wait for resolution.
When UPS stops responding, UPS should be rebooted - I powered it off, disconnected battery and everything was OK for some time.
I used HP Power & Rack manager and serial port agent with update 1.
UPS hase recent firmware 1.0.9a.
