replace Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit by LAN/SCSI core I/O
i need your help in this issue.
i have a server rx7620 with one core I/O.in order to activate 4 internal disks i am trying to add the second Core I/O (MP/SCSI and LAN/SCSI).
refering to manuals i must have to install the LAN/SCSI in Chassis 0, slot 1.
now my problem is that there is a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit on Cahssis ) slot 1.
i tryed to relplace by the LAN/SCSI but i had an error
MCA EVENT occurred : SAL error processing
Logging XBC Errors ....
Size of XBC Errors : 0x0
and i can't attend to EFI.
how can i remove this card (Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit
Ethernet) from this slot and replace it by the Lan/SCSI without getting a problem?
Thank you

Re: replace Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit by LAN/SCSI core I/O
yes i read it,but what i did i installed only the second MP/SCSI card on the server and i have the 4 internal disk activated with 2 different FW version.
what i am thinking about that when i replaced the NetXtreme Gigabit by the LAN/SCSI card on chassis 0 slot 1 the server was trying to read the configuration on this slot and he found the network card configuration with the LAN/SCSI Card. so it caused the problem .
so now i have the HPUX 11.23 installed on the server whith 1 partition
if there a way to remove the NetXtreme Gigabit card from this slot with its configuration befor i install the LAN/SCSI card, pleasse tell me.
PS i am facing a problrm on fw update because i have windows xp home edition on my laptop it not contains the iis. is there a way to update the firmware from UNIX?
Thank you for your help again, i need it
