Dear Torsten,
I have done all these steps which you mentioned (reconnect -r) and (map - r) and (devices).
But poroblem is still there.
Let me explain you in detail.
after restart (with windows 2003 itanium cd)the machine it comes to these options after restart.
Please select a boot option.
1)EFI Shell [Built-in]
2)Boot option Maintenance Menu
3)System Configuration Menu.
i select option 1 and it comes to Shell> prompt here i type reconnct -r and press enter after some time it shows me "Reconnect Controller(0,0,0):Status=Sccessful"
i type fs0: and then cd EFI then type SETUPLDR (which is setup command of Windows 2003 O/S)
Here Torsten one thing i cant understand and that is when i restart the machine i cant find CDROM option in (Please Select a boot option) why i am running windows server 2003 setup manuly from fs0 and efi and then SETUPLDR. i am unable to see CDROM option in start.
Your early responce will be highly appricable..
Thanks

Solution
If you want to have a boot option for the CD drive, you need to add it - it's not there by default.
Select
-> Boot Option Maintenance Menu
-> Add a Boot Option
select
Removable Media Boot [Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(2|0)/Ata(Primary,Master
(this is the CD-ROM on my rx2600 - you'll see the removable media)
-> [Treat like Removable Media Boot]
-> Enter New Description:
< put something in >
-> Enter BootOption Data Type [A-Ascii U-Unicode N-No BootOption] :
-> Enter BootOption Data [Data will be stored as Unicode string]:
Save changes to NVRAM [Y-Yes N-No]:
"Y"
... and you are done.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
