RX2660 servers error

Hi Everybody

We are facing a problem with one of our RX2660 servers, please find the error below, would appreciate if you could help us in finding a solution to this.

I have observed, some hardware issue in Node2 of our HA setup related to RAM (DIMM 1B). Due to this Node2 is rebooted frequently, with following errors in /etc/shutdownlog.

IMHO this is not related.

Last memory error is 6 month back.

Call hp support and let them check the MCA.

Please find the latest log - error was seen on 24th Oct, 2012. It will be great if any one can suggest the cause of this fault and next action to resolve.

Double Bit Error (DBE) :

• Please check the System Event Logs (SEL) and Forward Progress Logs (FPL) on the iLO/MP of the system. Forward Progress Logs (FPL) and memory logs will be created for DBE.

• If several errors were logged, always check the history from the beginning of the errors to get an idea what exactly happened and which the single suspect FRU is causing the issue.

• System Firmware (SFW) will put entries into the Page De-allocation Table (PDT).

This is likely due to hardware issues.

I would recommend to replace the following DIMM and monitor the system:

  Ext 0 DIMM 1B          4096

Please log a Hardware case with HP, if the said system under contract/warranty.

The HP engineer will help you to replace the DIMM.
