I am new to the sx2000 superdome. What disk array can you hook up to it to be able to boot an os from to run off of the superdome?
Thank you
Jon

SolutionIt depends if you need a boot device only or a large data container too, on the number of partitions , etc ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: sx2000 superdome.
Mostly Ive seen ds2110 or ds2120 systems attached. They hold up to four drives and its really just a rack mounted hot-plug shoebox. They only support one controller, so ideally you would have two of them attached to separate LVD SCSI cards. The drives in each would then be mirrored.

Re: sx2000 superdome.
If using SCSI disks you need 1 or 2 JBODs for each partition, if using an FC array you need only 1 (or 2 for HA) for several partitions.
But it would not make so much sense to use an FC array for a single partition.
So the DS2120 would be a good choice, another DS.... too, but for many partitions I would take this P2000.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
