Runtime Error in Internet Explorer
Hi,
The past few weeks I have been unable to open Internet Explorer. Each time I press the E, I get a Runtime Error! It says, C:\IE\inexplore.exe. Requested the runtime to termintate in an unusual wayu. Contact Application support team for information.
Internet Explorer does not open at all.
I've tried calling serveral service numbers but always have someone tell me to call another number or else get put on hold with noone coming to help.
What is blocking Internet Explorer from opening? I really do not know what a Runtime Error is. How do I correct a Runtime error?
Can anyone in this forum help?

Re: Runtime Error in Internet Explorer
You have a trojan horse on your system, as the directory you've listed is NOT where MSIE is kept.
My solutions to this are as follows:
1) you'll want to download and install a copy of Mozilla so that you have a working browser.
2) go to add/remove programs and remove any programs that you don't know about or don't use regularly. Also, do a disk cleanup from "My Computer/C Drive/Properties/Tools
3) use Mozilla to visit http:\\housecall.antivirus.com . Run online antivirus and anti spyware suites there
4) download, install, and run AVG Antivirus, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and ccleaner
5) Use mozilla to visit microsoft.com. Download and install the administrator versions of the latest OS service pack and the latest MSIE6 service pack.
6) Once MSIE is working again, visit http:\\windowsupdate.microsoft.com to finish patching your system

Re: Runtime Error in Internet Explorer
Go to the command prompt and type
iexplore
This might open IE for you.
Rest has already been stated :-)
