HP 4120 USB connection to MacBook Air using Lync 2011 14.0.5 recent update
Hi,
I have an HP 4120 IP phone which works great with our Lync Server if I use it in standalone mode, meaning I can dial using the phone features, etc. It sends and receives calls just fine. The issue I am having with it is when I use Lync 2011 on my MacBook Air, it will allow me to initiate the call but it takes a long time to connect. First, I hear nothing like it is not dialing, then it connects. Once it connects, the voice quality is chopping, clippy and lagging. It is basically unusable. I believe the issue is with the USB interface connectivity to the laptop. Have you had any other reports of this issue. The current firmware on the phone is 4.0.7577.4387. It is very strange. Also, one more key point, I run a VM Win7 machine and the phone works perfectly there without issue. It is just in native mode on the Mac where I am having issues with USB only.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Norm.
