3C10406A Cordless Phone issue
Hi, I'm having some problems with the wireless phone. When we try to use it the phone says Acquiring Link but after a couple of seconds it says no service. Here is some info I get from NBX NetSet
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Re: 3C10406A Cordless Phone issue
everything runs on 3com NBX v3000 with version R5_0_6.
The unit was working properly before we moved it.

Re: 3C10406A Cordless Phone issue
Hmmm....
5.0.6 ? VERY old code . I would suggest that you upgrade to at least R5.0.31 as there is no charge for this code .
I would remove the tel and rediscover it . It really sounds like the unit cannot find the NBX .

Re: 3C10406A Cordless Phone issue
Hate to have do something non productive , but the upgrade is a must for the unit . Removing and re adding is another step . Possible unit gone bad but after these , it should tell us .

Re: 3C10406A Cordless Phone issue
Hi, tried all of your suggestions and it doesn't seem to work. Should I consider the phone dead ? Are these phones still available ?

Re: 3C10406A Cordless Phone issue
So :
1. upgrade to R5.0.31 code
2. Try to rediscover the tel
3. make sure enough devices / licenses are available
4. Tel is on the same switch as the NBX
5. Check the NBoss log ( event logs ) and see if you see the mac address for the device .
6. Auto discovery is on
7. unplug the NBX and put it into a hub then plug the tel into the same hub
Thats all I can think of off the top . If these are done then yes I would say its a bad tel . If the device is under a contract then you can get a replacement . I would assume we are still RMA'ing these units as well .
800 876-3266 and ask one of the Customer Care Group experts .
