Is it possible to have two extension numbers on the same phone?
We have few phone extensions that have two users on each, not at the same time.
We need to setup separate mail boxes for each.
I've created virtual extension without assigning a phone to it and have set up mail box that way however, I think that this means that caller would have to call one extension to speak to that person but another extension to leave a voice mail.
Is there a better way to do this?
Is it possible to assign two separate extensions to single phone and have them login when at the desk?
I've also looked into submail boxes but that does not work either.
We are using VCX7205
Thank you
Sasha K.

Re: Is it possible to have two extension numbers on the same phone?
Hi Sasha,
I think the best approach would be to create two users, two phones and give each user their own mailbox. Assign a user to each phone. Do not MAC lock the phones. When the user wants to use the phone, they would need to login to it using their extension and phone password. When they are done using the phone, they would logout and the other user could login. It is recommended to enable Email Autodelivery for their mailboxes so they would be notified of new voicemail even when they are not logged into their phone.
The only downside of this approach in my opinion is that you use an additional phone license unnecessarily.
