IRF with two independent domains
Hello!
I need to help with IRF scheme on 5700 and 5800 series. One domain is with 5700 series switches, the next one is with 5800. I plan to build two domains with LACP link between them. The scheme will look like this:
I have the next questions: will all four links between two domains must be set as one LACP trunk with LACP MAD? Is there any configuration examples for such scheme? I `ve found only descriptions for one domain with two or four switches but never have seen my case. Please, help

Re: IRF with two independent domains
Hi there,
Yes, all links that belong to the same IRF domain will be in the BAGG.
Here is a sample config, you need to ensure each IRF domain uses a unique domain #
sysname 5800-IRF
#
irf-port 1/1
port group interface Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/25
#
irf domain 1
#
interface Bridge-Aggregation1
port link-type trunk
port trunk permit vlan all
link-aggregation mode dynamic
mad enable
#
interface range GigabitEthernet1/0/X to GigabitEthernet1/0/Y
port link-mode bridge
port link-type trunk
port trunk permit vlan all
port link-aggregation group 1
===============================
sysname 5700-IRF
#
irf-port 2/2
port group interface Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/25
#
irf domain 2
#
interface Bridge-Aggregation1
port link-type trunk
port trunk permit vlan all
link-aggregation mode dynamic
mad enable
#
interface range GigabitEthernet1/0/X to GigabitEthernet1/0/Y
port link-mode bridge
port link-type trunk
port trunk permit vlan all
port link-aggregation group 1
Thanks,
Daryl
