J9450A HP 1810-24G Switch firmware upgrade

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on my J9450A HP 1810-24G Switch , which presently has  firmware  p.1.6

After accessing the switches interface via browser (192.168.2.10),  I go to  Maintenance\Update-Manager, I select update-method = HTTP, browse = p.1.20.stk,  update-type = code, Image = active, followed by download, nothing happens

I've read lots of forum posts but haven't found the solution.

What do I do?

Thank you for the release notes and the link to the firmware updates.

At this time, I'm trying to upgrade from firmware p.1.6.stk to p1.20.stk.

Unfortunately my switch will still not download the new update.

I get the same results trying to download p.1.17.stk.

I've done a browser interface reset as well as a hardware front panel reset via paperclip.

I also notice that I am unable to setup the dual image configuration for image1-active and image2-backup.

I also tried connecting via a different computer with no luck.

What do I do?

I did a browser-interface reboot, so the log got cleared.

Then as before,  http,  p.1.20.stk, code,  active,  download.

What is error 365?

I've figured out the sntp error.

sntp means simple network time protocol.

The 1810 says the date is dec 31, 1969

I enabled snmp, hoping to set the date on the 1810, and influence the firmware update, but no luck.

Disabling sntp makes the errno365 go away.

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on the 1810 from p.1.6 to p.1.17.

Using the web interface SW, Maintenance\Update_Manager, update_method=http, browse_for_file=p1.17.stk, update_type=code, image=backup, (press download)

pops-up a window that says Warning: The data transferwill take few minutes ...(click OK)

pops-up another window that says 1) make sure the image transfer was successful,... (press enter)

pops-up a Transfer_Status window, with progress indicators,

Then the web interface blinks, and I'm at the login screen.

But also sometimes, my laptop nic pops-up a window that says, network cable unplugged ( which is wrong) and the web interface says "The page cannot be displayed

The status\logfile is empty, no indication of a file transfer.

What do I do?
