3CRWDR200A-75 Firmware and WPA-PSK ?.

Hello,

I wish to upgrade the firmware (from 2.3) as the Internet Access Policy doesn't seem to allow access, even when set to allow all IP's in a range to have access 24/7. Also some tabs are missing from the Firewall section as detailed in the latest downloadable menu.

My problem is that the only firmware available on the https://ometv.onl/ https://chatroulette.top/ https://omegle.wtf/ https://bazoocam.cam/ 3com site is 3.0.1, and this states that Pre Shared Keys cannot be entered manually in this revision.

(i) How can the keys be entered manually. I am only using it on a home network so this is all I need to do.

(ii) Is it possible to downgrade the firmware if the new one doesn't work and are the old versions downloadable from anywhere?

thanks

alexsunny

Hello,

Unfortunately I dont know this product and dont have experience with it. It seems that it was discontinued shortly after 3Com was acquired by HP. That means I cannot answer your questions.

I am writing here because I saw that there is an HPE firmware download page for this product. You need an HPE passport registration.

https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/downloads/SoftwareReleases.aspx?ProductNumber=JE457A

It provides access to versions 3.6.14 and 3.6.16 which seem to be higher versions than what you found (3.0.1). Unfortunately the links for the release notes are not working. 3.6.14 has short release notes in the zip file but it doesnt contain any information about the feautures you need. Here are the fixes.

4.  Issues Resolved in this release since v3.6/14

4.1    URL Filter: “Allow” function did not work

  •    The unit stops responding as soon as a web filter is active
  • If the firmware’s file name is “xxx.IMG”, the UI will refuse to upgrade using the file

It also contains a restriction regarding the config migration. It looks configs from version earlier than 3.0 cannot be used and the router has to be set to factory defaults and reconfigured from the scratch after the update.

If you are upgrading from a version earlier than 3.0, you should return the unit to factory defaults. Due to the substantial number of improvements we have made to the product, It is unfortunately not possible to use a saved configuration file to return the upgraded unit back into the same pre-upgrade configuration. We therefore recommend that you make a written note of any settings you have made to your router prior to starting the upgrade process.

Hello @alexsunny123

In order to make the community as helpful as possible we need to have updates on the previded answers. I know I didnt answer your question fully but nevertheless could you provide a short update. Did you try the versions which are available on the HPE page 3.6.14 or 3.6.16? Did they have the feature that you needed?
