AP association to Controller | 830 Unified Wired Wireless Switch
Hi all ,
I have to do a POC at the customers place . They wont be enabling either DHCP Option 43 , or DNS resolution from their end for AP discovery .
Now my task is :
A. I have to install the controller in the server room , connecting it to the CORE switch . Allowed VLANs - 1(Management) , 10 , 30.
B. I have to install a LAP at the security gate on a switch ,which does not have these VLANS.
C. I have already registered the AP once , to the 830 switch , by enabling AUTO AP and Persitent AP.
Will my AP auto discover the controller again , once manually plugged and registered to it? ( as i understand it uses a LWAPP/CAPWAP tunnel to communicate to the controller)
If no , then is there anyway to manually "PRIME" controller address on to the AP , so that it discovers the controller with its IP adress , wherever i plug it into the network ?
Please help !
