msm720 default routes problem

Hi, I have a problem with an msm720 controller. In the customer network the controller does not seem to learn the default gateway route. If I configure it manually it works but at the first restart of the device it does not work anymore because the default routes goes from "internet access" to "access network". Can you advise me what could be the cause?
